2024 Letter
Dear APS Team,
As we kick off this year’s United Way of Summit & Medina County campaign, we invite you to join us in making a positive impact. This year’s drive will run from November 18, 2024 - December 13, 2024.
Giving is a personal choice, and we simply ask that you consider contributing in a way that feels meaningful to you. United Way connects people to causes they care about, improving education, financial stability, and community health right here in Summit and Medina counties. When you contribute, you support APS families and provide a boost to the teachers who work tirelessly every day for our scholars.
In Unity, APS has the power to give in time, talent, or treasure—or all three. United Way’s work aligns closely with our goals, from their business partnership with the College & Career Academies of Akron to the Family Resource Centers they’ve helped establish in our schools. Your generosity contributes to these efforts, and, sometimes, provides for those rebuilding their lives or living with disabilities. United Way is there when people need it most, and your support ensures it continues to be.
To make giving easier, Akron Public Schools offers payroll deduction, a simple way to support United Way’s work. Remember, using your APS email address (@apslearns.org) is required to access the campaign link below.
Please give as you are able. Together, we’re helping to build a stronger, healthier community. Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a difference.

Sincerely,
Dr. Michael Robinson
